This condensed half-day session is an intermediate level workshop: Attendees should have prior exposure to and basic understanding of accounting financial information.
Learning Objectives include:
Know how to setup a Chart of Accounts for your business
Identify the five major groups of accounts that comprise the accounting model
Understand the structure of three financial statements: Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Statement of Cash Flows
Know how to read and analyze financial statements with ratios, horizontal and vertical analysis
Instructor Bio:
Matt Evans is a retired professional with 30+ years of experience as an Accountant, Controller, Business Analyst and Project Manager. He holds three professional certifications: Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant and Certified in Financial Management. Mr. Evans has worked in all three sectors of the economy (private, public and non-profit) including serving as a Senior Advisor in Sofia, Bulgaria. He has extensive experience in the field of financial management including evaluating major investments, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. His educational background includes Six Sigma Green Belt, Corporate Finance at the Wharton Business School and Cost Management at J. L. Kellogg School of Management.
