About Speaker King Barnard:

Richard, aka “King”, and his wife Dianne, returned to Florida in 1995 after a career in senior management positions with a number of small to medium size high technology commercial, aerospace and defense contractor companies. King’s expertise includes, program management, product planning and development, Strategic Planning and product R&D. King’s corporate roles have included R&D Manager, Division VP of Engineering, Division VP & General Manager, and Division President. In the late 1990’s King founded Management Doctor, Inc., a management consulting firm where-in for several years he traveled the US providing company business analysis, marketing, technical, profit improvement and turn-around services to over 50 clients. While a profitable and rewarding experience, Management Doctor involved far too much travel so King retired to Manatee County and settled in as a Manasota SCORE mentor where he is able to apply much of his rich career experiences and skills toward helping individuals start and run their businesses – and there’s no travel! King is a physicist, past faculty member of the Florida Institute of Technology, a pilot, and in the late 1960’s, his office was the Apollo Command Module Simulator at Cape Canaveral.
