How to Conduct Successful Negotiations C0255

Synopsis of Workshop:  We are involved in negotiations at our workplace and in our personal life when we try to influence others to achieve personal and professional objectives.  The course will cover the different types of negotiation, how to prepare for a meeting and how to actually handle the negotiating process.

Who should attend:  Entrepreneurs, Business Owners, Anyone involved in purchasing or contracts

What to expect:

  • Come away with the knowledge to effectively plan for negotiating a mutually acceptable agreement.
  • You will understand the need to position yourself and phases of the negotiation process.   
  • Learn the Do’s and Don’ts of effective negotiation.

Presented By: Pete Scifres - Before retiring, Pete worked for 34 years in manufacturing, physical distribution, purchasing, and inventory planning/control.  For the last 17 of those years he worked at the Universal Music Group, then largest of the 6 global pre-recorded music companies. At retirement in 2007 he was President of USA Manufacturing and Logistics and in that role led various teams that negotiated many purchasing and outsourcing agreements. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BSE from Purdue University.
