Exciting things are happening at CryOut Los Angeles, and you are cordially invited!
On Saturday, October 12th from 6:00pm-8:00pm we are holding our First Annual Fundraiser. This inspiring evening includes musical performances by the CryOut youth, and an opportunity to meet the founders and learn more about our vision. The venue location, Vector90, was founded by rapper Nipsey Hussle, who was a fellow advocate and also shared our passion for the Crenshaw neighborhood, so we are especially honored to host in this space.
The CryOut mission is to utilize expressive arts as a platform for youth
to cry out for social justice in their communities.
We see how young people encounter pain, heartache and suffering at extraordinary levels today; often struggling to find constructive outlets to deal with the hurt. Combined with historical societal issues, it magnifies their sense of 'injustice in the world'. Our hope is to help this generation find their passion, experience justice in their own lives, and in turn to see them seek positive growth for their community.
As we embark on this new season serving in Crenshaw, we invite you to join us on October 12th to learn more about how you can be a part of reaching our youth in Los Angeles.
