Bookkeeping with QuickBooks for Real - 12/04/2019 - C0224 

The objectives of the class are to provide business owners and their bookkeepers with the skills and confidence to manage their bookkeeping obligations in a manner that facilitates business efficiency and long term success.
The course will be very interactive, with a range of activities to reinforce learning.

During the class participants will:
Gain an understanding of the Chart of Accounts, this includes the account types, account order and account numbers.

Explore accounting methods including cash and accrual basis.

Review bookkeeping activities such as banking, accounts receivable, accounts payable and consider the importance of keeping a close eye on these areas.

Examine the importance of journal entries such as debit and credits, trial balance and double entry system and how to enter these into accounting software such as QuickBooks.

Increase their awareness and understanding of Financial Statements, such as balance sheet and income statement and how to use these documents for the effective operation of their business.

Be provided with insight into the range of accounting software that can be used to support and simplify their bookkeeping efforts.
