2020 Literacy Reimagined Conference

Join us in beautiful Gulf Shores, Ala., for the inaugural Literacy Reimagined conference on March 19-20, 2020.

Literacy Reimagined is a partnership with Region 10 districts and institutions of higher education. The event will provide opportunities to increase knowledge in the science of reading and provide skills to improve instructional practices in classrooms, schools, and districts. Educators will attend two days of sessions and have the flexibility to choose from breakout sessions geared toward K-12 literacy and differentiation for students of all ages and abilities.

Classroom teachers in grades K-12, administrators, reading specialists, ELL teachers, special educators, preservice teachers, and college of education professors will have the opportunity to build their knowledge of highly effective, evidence-based literacy strategies as we work together to improve literacy instruction in Alabama.

Sessions will include highly engaging presentations on writing, foundational reading instruction, vocabulary, building background knowledge, the importance of phonics instruction, dyslexia, and strategies for ELL students.
