The workshop is specially developed for entrepreneurs starting a new business or planning to grow their business.  The three primary considerations are; (a)Choosing a legal business structure, (b) Understanding government rules and regulations, and (c) Buying business insurance.

This workshop will examine:

  • The advantages and disadvantages of operating as a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation or LLC.
  • Legal and tax requirements.
  • Application of federal, state and local business regulations.
  • Trademark and copyright protection.
  • Insurance.

Presenter: Rita Leader, Corporate Attorney (retired)               
and SCORE Mentor.

Rita has over 35 years representing individual entrepreneurs,
small corporations, and large publicly held corporations. She 
specializes in corporate finance and securities, while providing
general business representation to her clients.
