H-GAC Fall Planning Workshop: Building Equity Into Planning

WE HAVE REACHED CAPACITY,
AND REGISTRATION IS CLOSED FOR THIS POPULAR WORKSHOP.

Each year, the Houston-Galveston Area Council hosts the Fall Planning Workshop, a half-day workshop series for local governments featuring presentations on best planning practices for communities.

This year's workshop, Building Equity Into Planning, will focus on how local cities and counties can effectively build equity into the process design for local planning efforts and how to give often underrepresented members of the community a true seat at the table.

This workshop will focus on engaging stakeholders, overcoming barriers, measuring outcomes, and celebrating successes. Join us as we:
  • Look at ways to involve all stakeholders/partners through the planning process, including addressing barriers.
  • Learn how to incorporate indicators throughout plans to track equity.
  • Examine case studies and success stories of equity in planning.
