Dara Trujillo has more than 28 years of retail, theme park (Walt Disney) and TV shopping experience (HSN) creating worldwide concepts and products. While at Disney, she learned early on to persevere through tough boardrooms and “Know the Power of No”. As a result, Dara was able to create amazing products and experiences that are still enjoyed today by guests around the world. They include the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, Goofy’s Candy Company, expanding the Pin Trading experience, creating Duffy the Disney Bear and many more. Most recently Dara was VP of Merchandise Business Development for HSN where she created and managed the American Dreams Program and Entrepreneur Academy helping entrepreneurs realize their TV retail dreams. Currently, Dara is the Chief Merchandise Officer for SLC Group Holdings, an angel investment firm lead by Sandy Cleary whose top priority is finding amazing entrepreneurs and taking them from startup to stardom! Dara can still be seen as a regular judge on the TV show Hatched where she provides feedback to innovators and entrepreneurs, and helps them fulfill their American Dream of selling on TV or into retail.

The Perfect Business Pitch

Every professional will have to make a business pitch at some point in their career.  It may be a pitch to a potential investor, a new customer, a potential board member, a new employee, a peer…the list goes on and on.  Making the perfect business pitch will project an image of a person who is passionate, confident and successful.

Dara Trujillo, our guest speaker, will share her ideas and insights on how to give the perfect pitch including what every entrepreneur needs to know, common mistakes made and what potential investors are looking for.  She will share thoughts on what should be included in your pitch or elevator speech, what is too much and what is not enough information, and how to leave your audience wanting to know more.

You will be able to use these valuable insights to create you own perfect pitch!
