Survival Skills in Portuguese for Beginners - Part 2, spring 2020 

This 10 week non-credit course sponsored by the IPLWS will be offered in the spring 2019 semester and is a continuation of “Survival Skills in Portuguese for Beginners – Part 1” offered during the fall semester. 

This non-credit course is especially designed for the busy adult who would like to develop basic communication skills in the Portuguese language. Classes meet for 10 weeks on Saturday mornings from 10 am to 12 noon on the Rhode Island College campus.

  The instructor, Ms. Lisa Andrade, is an experienced teacher of Portuguese language and culture at both the secondary school and university levels.  Ms. Andrade is a near-native speaker of Portuguese, is a certified interpreter and has studied and traveled in continental Portugal and the Azores.

The fee is only $150 for the ten week course. (If you need to purchase the book and CD the fee is an additional $70 )

Class size is limited to 10 participants to allow for maximum interaction. So whether you plan to travel, have always wanted to learn your heritage language or just wish to expand your horizons, this course is the perfect way to get started!
