The Social Media Project

This workshop is aimed to educate and empower small business owners in four hours. It is about taking practical steps for positive outcomes for business growth. Specifically, why businesses need to be social and how to do so with purpose and intent that increases brand awareness and sales. This course will be interactive. Participants are encouraged to bring paper, pens and laptop to take notes.Who is this workshop for?

• Owners, new or existing, looking for social media techniques to manage themselves. What Will The Social Media Project Workshop Cover?

• Mindset and Approach - Understand how one’s business plan assists with creating a focused and powerful social media plan. Learn to maximize social media efforts and minimize wasted time. (1.5 hour)

• Content - How to create social content that will boost sharing and engagement that will improve your indexing in search engines. (45 mins)

• Visual Appeal - How to create attractive, shareable images using super easy and free software. (45 mins)

• Tips and Tricks - Easily learn the principles of using any social media to market your business. (1 hour)

Catherine Peña is a certified SCORE mentor and volunteer. Ms. Peña brings 20 years of online experience having worked on websites for USA Weightlifting, 2002 Salt Lake Olympic Games and Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. Catherine has also worked with several marketing agencies where she focused on branding, websites and social media. She has a BS from Texas A&M University and an MBA from University of Phoenix.

Cancellation Policy: 

If you need to cancel you must notify us via email 7 days prior to the workshop date. A confirmation of your cancellation will be sent once it is received. Calling the SCORE Fort Worth office is not acceptable for a cancellation notice. All no-shows or cancellations after 7 days will lose their paid workshop fees. 

All workshop fees must be paid in advance prior to workshop date. For security purposes we will not be able to accept payment for workshops at the door unless workshop is being held at James E. Guinn complex in Fort Worth, TX. 

CANCELLATION NOTICES MUST BE IN WRITING AND EMAILED to: Jenny Day at scorefw@gmail.com. Any other means of cancellation will not be accepted.
