Understanding Basic Financial Statements 

There are three basic Financial Statements which all businesses with financial reporting requirements must prepare and disseminate.  Their names are the Balance Sheet, Icome Statement, and Statement of Cash Flows.  To the lay person who is trying to understand the Financial Statements, they may seem like they are written in a foreign language.  You may understand the words but the concepts those words convey may not be totally clear.

This workshop will give you a rudimentary understanding of the Financial Statements and the concepts used to categorize the financial activity of a business into readable tables which, when you understand the concepts, can tell a story about the financial health of the business.

Toni is an MBA, CPA, and CGMA.  For the past 20 years, she has been leading the FInance/Accounting Department of technology companies in the startup, growth or turnaround stage in the New York Metro area.  She has sold some of these businesses to larger and publicly-traded companies.

A recent transplant to the Tampa Bay area, she is a consultant to small businesses that are setting up their financial software and want to develop procedures and processes for managing their finances and accounting.
