Women Entrepreneurs Conference - Engage - Educate - Empower - 02/08/2020 - C0086 

A day of presentations, panel discussions and breakout sessions designed to offer guidance to women entrepreneurs in helping to successfully operate a business. This includes dealing with suppliers, customers and employees as well as developing useful contacts with other female entrepreneurs to help grow  by working together.

Attendees will experience a high-impact program featuring informative speakers such as Pamela Starr, a leading authority on building customer loyalty and a professional speaker for Grow with Google. Pamela will share actionable strategies on how to build and grow a successful business.

This interactive presentation demonstrates and helps participants learn the DiSC behavior styles. The tips demonstrated and given are easily transferable in a professional setting. By using the techniques learned conversations,communications, sales and interactions flow more smoothly.

In 2018 Mindy published her first book, Pitching to Win: Strategies for Success, to help entrepreneurs and established business leaders alike understand the process of raising capital. She is working on her second book on building infrastructure, currently untitled, to be released in 2020.

As a financial strategist, Mindy works with her clients to develop positive cash flow and increase company value. Together they uncover areas to drive out waste in financial reporting, replacing it with dashboards to alert management to key organizational metrics to guide critical decisions.

This presentation will   use fables, fairy tales and from-the-trenches business knowledge to teach new and experienced business owners how to   use simple performance indicators to figure out if your business is a success. You'll walk away with ideas of why, what,   and how to measure what matters to your company, so you can spend more of your valuable time on what works.

Dr. Patti Peeples is a health economist, educator, pharmacist, and entrepreneur with 30 years of experience in healthcare evidence and value. She is the Founder and CEO of HealthEconomics.Com, a global digital hub for healthcare evidence researchers and policy-makers. The company is widely regarded as the first, largest and most respected website in her industry. Previously, Dr. Peeples held senior positions in product commercialization with medical technology, pharmaceutical, and healthcare consulting organizations.  

Dr. Peeples has published over 200 articles in the medical literature and is an internationally recognized keynote speaker. Patti’s passions are doing things differently in the business of health, as well as improvisational storytelling.

Patti holds a PhD in Health Economics from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, an M.S. in Pharmaceutical Marketing, and a B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Mississippi and she completed an administrative Pharmacy Residency program at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Presenter: Fabiana Estrada

Fabiana is the Director of Lending for South East Region for Accion East.

She joined Accion in 2010 and was quickly promoted from a Loan Consultant to South Florida's Lending Manager. Under Fabiana’s leadership, the Florida team has tripled the number of microloans given to small business owners supporting their financial education as well.

In 2012, The South Florida Community Development Coalition recognized Fabiana’s achievements with the Economic Opportunity Award and more recently the SBA awarded ACCION as the Mission Based Lender  for two consecutive years -2018-2019- and the SBA State Community Lender for 2019.

Fabiana is from Argentina where she graduated from the University of Buenos Aires with a degree in law.
