Congregational Business Practices Workshop - Boston - 2.22.20 

The diocese’s Congregational Consultants are sponsoring Congregational Business Practices Workshops again this spring to give parish leadership—especially new parish leaders and treasurers—an exposure to the basics of good business practices in general, and Episcopal Church business practices in particular. The workshops will cover general business practices; compensation and benefits; compliance and reporting;  bookkeeping and audits; and safeguarding of assets.  You can sign up through the link below.

Who Is Invited?: Parish leaders (clergy, wardens, clerks, treasurers, vestry members or any other lay leaders involved in setting up and maintaining their parish’s business practices)

What Will Participants Get?:  A binder of materials containing handouts from the workshops will be provided. Included will be some of the Congregational Business Consultants’ publications.

What Do People Need To Bring? Paper and a pen for taking notes.  Also recommended but not required is a copy of the Episcopal Church’s Manual of Business Methods in Church Affairs, available for download from The Episcopal Church's website.
