Assaf Shami is an entrepreneur and a community leader.
Assaf was born and raised in Jerusalem, Israel and following completion of his military service as an Investigative Intelligence Police Officer in the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), Assaf moved to the United States to begin his academic studies. Assaf has lived in South Florida since 1999. Assaf has been a life-long entrepreneur, having launched a technology-based company in 2000 capitalizing on his expertise in business administration and Management Information Systems. In 2004, Assaf founded WebtrixPro, an innovative software company specializing in designing and developing cutting edge mobile apps, high-end websites and custom software applications.
Assaf is also a community leader serving his community in several capacities.
- Assaf is the founder and past Chairman of The Young Israeli Parliament, which is dedicated to fostering and promoting Israeli, Jewish culture in a non-religious-driven atmosphere. Today Assaf serves as the group's President.
- Assaf is the former CEO of Oriane to Life, an organization that support bereaved Israeli-Jewish families from Israel living in North America.
- Assaf is a former Board member of the North-Dade Miami Jewish Federation and a former Board member of the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center.
- Assaf served as a mentor at the IAC-Eitanim project, a unique leadership and entrepreneurship project-based program for high school students that allows them to connect, explore and experience Israel while preparing them for college and developing their business and professional skills.
Assaf is happily married to Carmel and has 3 children Oz, Noga and Matan.
