A Free workshop from SCORE!

Understanding the Financial Side of Your Business is important even before you open the doors.  In this workshop you will learn about best practices from experts who have had successful careers in finance.  Topics include, funding, forecasting, cash management, recordkeeping, banking, accounts receivable management, tax management and more.  Attend if you are starting a business, in a business and wear many hats or are currently responsible for the finance functions in a small business.

 Presenter:

  Bill Petrovic, a graduate of the Kelley School of Business, Indiana University, where he earned both an MBA and Doctorate. For 31 years he worked for Roche Diagnostics where he held a number of positions in the financial area including Controller and Vice President and Treasurer. Most recently Bill has taught in both the undergraduate and MBA programs for the Kelley School of Business in Bloomington. Bill has been a SCORE Mentor for seven years and understands the financial needs of small businesses.

 

Bill Nicolai

Retired Corporate Controller with extensive global experience in North America, Latin America, and Europe. Fully bilingual (Spanish) and multi-cultural.  After seven years as an internal auditor, served as Financial Director or Division Controller for A. C. Nielsen Company, Chiquita Brands, and La-Z-Boy Inc. which included several assignments throughout Mexico, Central and South America.  Negotiated joint ventures, distribution agreements, mergers, tax agreements, tax free manufacturing zones, and turn-key operational agreements.  Retired as Corporate Controller from IMMI, a Westerfield based manufacturing company with extensive operations in Indiana, Mexico, and China.  His passions include discovering history, especially the US Civil War and playing duplicate bridge.
