This workshop provides an overview of accounting fundamentals for small business owners and those planning to start a small business.

The workshop will help you understand what is important for you to know and/or be aware of in the world of accounting. Topics include the role of a bookkeeper vs. an accountant vs. a CPA, accrual vs cash basis, creating a startup budget, can my business make a profit and choosing an accounting software application.

Presenters:  Gloria Spence and Eric Saunders. Gloria was the former Director of Finance- Northeast Region for Hearst Television (WCVB TV). Eric Saunders is a CPA and retired in 2016 after a long career with a public accounting firm.
