We are excited to announce our guest speakers, Nadine Boone and Peter Kontakos!
Ms. Boone and Mr. Kontakos will discuss how you can GROW YOUR BUSINESS by securing government contracts involving sedan transportation and motorcoach/van shuttling.
Nadine Boone is currently Lead Business Opportunity Specialist at the United States Small Business Administration-Massachusetts District Office.
She is responsible for management and oversight of the Federal Government Contracting Division and Marketing and Outreach across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Formally as Lead Lender Relations Specialist for SBA- Massachusetts District Office partnering with lending institutions that provides access to capital to small businesses, Massachusetts became the #2 lending office in the country out of 68 other District Offices.
Ms. Boone has worked for the U.S. Small Business Administration for 21 + years in various positions and has earned Certification in Federal Government Contracting Level I from Federal Acquisition Institute and a certificate in Commercial Loans for Small Businesses from Omega Performance.
Ms. Boone graduated from Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Marketing.
Peter Kontakos was appointed Deputy District Director of the SBA Massachusetts District Office on September 15, 2019.
During his tenure at U.S. Department of Transportation, Mr. Kontakos has served as a Contract Specialist, Procurement Analyst, and Acquisition Program Manager at the US Department of Transportation since 2008. Mr. Kontakos also served as the Small Business Specialist responsible for promoting the utilization of 8(a) Business Development, HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, and Women-Owned Small Business Programs for both prime and subcontracting opportunities.
Additionally, Mr. Kontakos collaborated and partnered with the U.S. DoT Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization and U.S. DoT Office of the Senior Procurement Executive to promote small business program advocacy and education to a wide range of local, regional, and national audiences.
Mr. Kontakos has extensive experience in federal government contracting, certified level-III in Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C)
Prior to his Federal service, Mr. Kontakos served as Assistant Branch Manager at Eastern Bank supporting an assortment of consumer and commercial lending activities. Mr. Kontakos received his Bachelor's Degree from Merrimack College having graduated summa cum laude with a double major in Business Administration and Political Science; and obtained his MBA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst Isenberg School Of Management.
