Building an Offramp:

Launching a Business While Working Full Time

A SCORE Small Business Workshop co-sponsored by HAVYN and WBDC

The WBDC (Women's Business Development Council), SCORE and HAYVN announce a new course series aimed for the person who is working full-time and is thinking of, or is in the process of, starting their own business.

If this is you, this could be your year! If you have hit a career plateau, dream of being your own boss, or have a passion for another business venture, this course is for you.

At the end of the course series, you will have your business launched. You can either keep it as a side-hustle or leave your job and launch it full time. The full support of WBDC, SCORE and HAYVN will be behind you, whatever you decide.

This course is open to women, men and all age groups, but is focused on experienced professionals.

In this 6-session course, we will take participants through a step-by-step process, ultimately leading to the launch of your new business.

The sessions will include talks by experienced professionals who have gone down this road and will result in the formation of a cohort and support group. This is a safe space - all participants and discussions will be kept strictly confidential.

The 6-session series will cover:

  • Time management and support systems

  • Creating a business plan and setting up an LLC

  • Website build and launch

  • Legal and financial advice and crucial steps

  • Networking training and organizations in the area

  • Addressing fear and deciding when to launch

Course fee: $150 for 6 sessions
