Wednesday, March 18, 2020 POSTPONED
7:30 to 9:30 PM PT
Kimberly lives near Seattle, the current epicenter of the U.S. coronavirus outbreak. She very much wanted to speak, but was concerned that she might contribute to the problem by flying into the Bay Area from her home, so we (along with East Bay IANDS) are going to reschedule her presentation for later in the year. The good news is that not only will she be sharing about her NDE as part of our Life, Death, Near Death and Beyondcsers, she will also be offering a workshop the next day.
A well-known storyteller and humorist, Kimberly will share her own near-death experience (NDE), her famous account of finding a shoe on the ledge spotted out-of-body by a patient being resuscitated elsewhere in the hospital where Kimberly worked in Intensive Care, and many stories of meeting deceased loved ones and pets and angels in the afterlife.
Kimberly has been a leader in exploring the near-death experience for more than thirty years. Following her own NDE, she founded the Seattle chapter of IANDS (International Association for Near Death Studies) in 1982, the oldest and largest support group for near-death experiencers.
Kimberly describing her NDE:“At first I was enveloped in a dense, dark fog. Suddenly an enormous explosion of light erupted beneath me, rolling out to the ends of the universe. Then I was in the center of the Light. The Light was brighter than hundreds of suns, but it did not hurt my eyes. It was entirely composed of Love. I understood that this was the Light of God. The Light and Love were directed at me, surrounding me and going through me.
"I learned the answers to eternal questions: ‘Why are we here? What's the purpose of our life? Why is there suffering and evil?’ Then I was told that I had to return to my life on Earth. I argued, but in reply I was shown a vision of the future and my personal destiny to serve others."
As always at our Life, Death, Near Death and Beyond evenings, Kimberly's presentation will be followed by Q&A and a lively discussion.
