The course covers OSHA fall protection regulations and safe work practices to prevent fall-related injuries and deaths.

Lead-Safe Refresher Certification / 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM / $165
This certification is required when performing work that disturbs painted surfaces in pre-1978 housing and child-occupied facilities, such as daycares and pre-K classrooms. Please note that certifications are valid for five years; if you received Lead-Safe Refresher Certification in 2015, this course offers the opportunity to remain current with EPA's Renovation, Repair and Painting regulations.For those interested in attending this refresher course, please make sure your current certificate has not expired before March 5th, 2020.

This program discusses recent changes in employment that will not only impact the way you hire and manage employees but also oversite of subcontractors retained on your various construction projects. The presenters will review the new requirements of state Act 75 of 2019, which requires employers in the construction industry to use the federal E-verify system. The law extends to staffing agencies you may utilize as well as subcontractors  under contract and what language you should include in your contracts to ensure your subcontractors are in compliance. Our program also examines recent developments with employment practices as they relate to medical marijuana participants as well as recent regulatory and court decisions as they pertain to mandatory payment of overtime.
