Starting a Business: How to Reduce Risk and Find the Right Fit (Special Online Event) -C0385

If you’ve thought about starting a business, this event is your first step to becoming your own boss. We will help you understand how to leverage your skills and experience and decide whether you should start your own business, buy an existing business, or buy a franchise to provide you the best chance for success.

Have you wanted more autonomy, independence, pride, or meaning in your work?

Business ownership is a great way to reignite your passion for the work that you do, but everyone knows that you can’t just dive in. There’s a lot of research and learning involved in launching a new business, and most people don’t know where to begin. Starting a new business on your own can be daunting—and you will most likely come away with more questions than answers.

The workshop will help you understand:

  • How to reduce risk (time and money)
  • Your best option: start a business from scratch, buy an existing business, or license a business
  • How to find a recession-resistant business
  • Funding options
  • How much a new business will cost
  • Examples of great businesses for our area and this economy?
  • No-cost resources to help with your search
