Clergy Professional Development Day - Boston - 5.16.20

Clergy Professional Development Days are a new offering this spring for all diocesan clergy, and will feature guest presenter Donna Hicks, Ph.D., of the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs at Harvard University and author of Leading With Dignity and Dignity: Its Essential Role in Resolving Conflict

In addition to the program with Dr. Hicks, the schedule at each Clergy Professional Development Day will include an optional Safe Church review segment that will fulfill the in-person refresher requirement for those clergy who are due for one this year.

Most clergy who are canonically resident or licensed to officiate in the Diocese of Massachusetts are required to attend a Clergy Professional Development Day every three years in order to maintain good standing (see the document here explaining required attendance and exemptions).  Also, every three years, clergy will be required to complete Safeguarding Online training (if you do not have an access code, contact Jennifer Garrett at jgarrett@diomass.org) and authorize our diocese to conduct a nationwide public records check.

A continetal breakfast and lunch will be served.

While there is no fee to attend, pre-registration below is required.

Please contact Martha Gardner, at mgardner@diomass.org or 617.482.4826 x403 if you have any questions.
