CANCELLED - Getting a Business Loan

At some point, your business may need financing. This workshop will give you the background you need in order to apply for a loan from one of the many financing programs available in the CSRA.

Brent Hoover, business consultant for the SC Small Business Development Center (SBDC), will discuss the application process and requirements. A formal business plan, complete with business financials and income projections, forms the basis for the application. Several government programs work with local banks to help guarantee loans, and you may qualify for one of them.

Savannah Wilburn, MBA, will discuss loan programs from the lender's point of view. Wilburn is a Lender Relations Specialist and Public Information Officer for the South Carolina District Office of the US Small Business Administration (SBA). By offering programs that guarantee small business loans, the SBA helps local banks share the risk of investing in small business in order to promote a healthy local business economy.
