Growing Growers ICT Workshop - Postharvest Handling and Food Safety

How does produce get from your field to your customer’s table? How will you ensure that your produce stays safe on the way from farm to market? Join us May 18 on Zoom for the next Growing Growers workshop: postharvest handling and food safety. Food safety has always been important for fruit and vegetable growers, but is especially paramount during these trying times! We will hear from Tricia Jenkins and Patrick Abeli from the K-state postharvest handling lab in Olathe during this online workshop.

A couple of days before the workshop, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the webinar and test your computer. You will NOT need a webcam to participate, but you may find it helpful to interact with others. You will also receive any handouts via email.

After the workshop is over, you will receive an email with the link to watch the recording, hopefully within 24 hours.

If you have requested a mailed copy of the recording and course materials to watch and review without an internet connection, we will hope to get those sent out within 5 business days of the workshop.

We will hope to reschedule the farm tour for this workshop at some point in the summer, and we will contact you at that time.

This is a new learning experience for us to, so please reach out with questions, concerns, or creative ideas for how to make these learning opportunities better
