Managing Cash Flow During the COVID Crisis -C0055

This workshop will present straightforward, practical steps to managing cash  Are you or your client a small business owner managing in this downturn?  Perhaps your business did not exist during the last financial crisis 2008-2009.

Whether your business is a service business, manufacturing, retail or e-tail, restaurant or food service, import/export, there are solid strategies to help you manage your cash and keep your business alive during this turbulent time. 

From this workshop, you will learn how to:

  • Manage current cash from operations by analyzing revenue, diversifying revenue sources, understanding the structure of costs & expenses, and managing your profitability
  • Manage cash through investing and capital expenditures
  • Manage cash from financing by managing debt, lines of credit, dividends, and distributions
  • Learn about resources in place to help small businesses manage through the crisis.

This information will be helpful to you and your clients as you advise them on strategies and next steps.  Your knowledge and expertise will help them weather the storm, strengthen their financial footing, and prepare them for the rebound when it arrives.

This is an online meeting via ZOOM online conferencing software.  There will be no classroom presentation.   ZOOM requires an internet connection and can run on PCs, Macs and on both Apple and Android tablets and cellphones.  ZOOM will display the presentation and also broadcast the audio though your computer or device.  If your computer does not have sound, an optional telephone number will be provided to call in when you log into ZOOM.

Joe teaches Understanding Financial Statements monthly at SCORE-Seattle. He has over 20 years of experience from investing in public companies as an equity analyst and as an investment portfolio manager for public pension funds, endowments, and foundations. His primary career experience includes analyzing financial statements, understanding successful business strategies, and drawing the path how cash flows through a business. His expertise in connecting strategies to cash flow will help guide business owners.
