Move Up, Sideways, Back Home or Out: Navigating Career & Job Choice - Expanded Version

Participation for the AADO Power Hour session (in March 2020) on professional career goals exceeded all of our expectations, thank you! We received an overwhelming response from members who either missed the session or wanted to learn more. In response, we are thrilled to partner once again with featured speakers Faith Eutsay and Zena Lum to present AADO Webinar: Move Up, Sideways, Back Home or Out: Navigating Career & Job Choice - Expanded Version on Wednesday, May 20, 2020, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM (ET). Session details are outlined below. This session is $20.
Sign-up today to reserve your spot. We look forward to your participation!

Session Description

For all levels of development professionals contemplating their career goals, come hear from two experts in executive search and career management to learn where opportunities are on the rise and what skills are in demand so you can be proactive in charting your professional course. By the end of the session, attendees will come away with tips for assessing one's readiness to make a move, questions to evaluate fit with a team or organization, guidance for effective resumes and cover letters, and advice on working with search firms.

Program Impact

Career advice in and of itself is "neutral," but the presenters are acutely aware of the barriers to access, equity, and inclusion impacting career advancement to professionals of color. We will be prepared to emphasize the importance of knowing the culture and position best matched to your personality and skills, the importance of networking, of formal and informal mentors, and the role of allies.
