SCORE Webinar: Understanding the Families First Coronavirus Response Act

FFCRA Workshop Overview

Are you confused about whether-or-not your business is required to provide paid leave to employees when they claim they are unable to work due to COVID-19 related reasons?

The Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) requires certain employers to provide employees with paid sick leave or expanded family and medical leave for specific reasons related to COVID-19.

“Understanding the Families First Coronavirus Response Act” will provide the answers to this question and  review the employer-related provisions of the FFCRA including: which employers are required to comply, employee eligibility, qualifying reasons for leave, posting requirements, leave and pay calculations, relief for employers, recommended documentation and a list of several additional FFFCRA resources.

Our Presenter is Karla Micka:

Karla Micka is the Chapter Chair of SCORE Space Coast and SCORE Southeast Regional Diversity and Inclusion Ambassador.

Prior to joining SCORE in 2016, Karla spent over 25 years leading Human Resources and Information Systems organizations for defense and private sector companies both domestically and abroad.  Her last position was Director of Human Resources for DynCorp International.
