The workshop will cover how to set up a company, including the chart of accounts (what is this and why do we need it), vendors, customers and how to enter sales and expenses. It will also cover how to access the most common reports – the Profit & Loss, and the Balance Sheet – and what each tells you about your business. We will discuss the advantages of desktop vs online, which one is better for you.

Bill has an Associates Degree in Accounting and a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.
Originally from Vermont I moved to Ohio in 1998.
Worked for over 20 years in private accounting for businesses varying from wood siding manufacturer, construction, to auto parts. Bill made the moved to public accounting working with multiple clients preparing tax returns and helping with accounting for sole proprietors, partnerships, corporations, and non-profits. For the last 15 years Bill has also been a QuickBooks Pro Advisor, have used both the desktop and online versions. Bill received his CPA in 2003, finally completing this step. Working for accounting firms, and as a CPA, Bill performed audits, reviews and compilations. Bill has the unique perspective of having been on both sides of audits.
