Barry P. Gruher specializes in the areas of complex bankruptcy and commercial litigation in the bankruptcy federal district and state courts, including assignment for the benefit of creditors, business reorganization, creditor workouts and creditors/debtor rights. Gruher has extensive experience in representing debtors, creditors, trustees and other interested parties in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy cases, and related adversary proceedings involving objections to discharge and dischargeability of debts, fraudulent transfer and preference actions, together with contested matters and involuntary bankruptcy litigation. In addition, his practice focuses on bankruptcy and state court appeals, general corporate, real estate and transactional matters.

Gruher has been named as a "Top Lawyer" by the South Florida Legal Guide and has a number of reported decisions from the bankruptcy courts in the Southern District of Florida and state court of appeals. He has previously served on the Local Rules Committee for Chapter 7 cases for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Southern District of Florida and is an active member of the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida, Palm Beach County Bar Association and Business Law Section of The Florida Bar.
