The headlines, both local and national are sprinkled with stories of a "trusted employee" who turned out to be a thief, and perhaps the reason a company never seemed to have enough cash to get by. Fraud, Theft, Embezzlement - these remain consistent threats to companies now and throughout history. The thieves seem to become more sophisticated and hard to catch even with new tools and better technology. Join us for an informative and interactive opportunity to learn about fraud prevention tips, behavioral red flags, and forensic accounting.

About your presenter:  Robyn Shaw


Robyn is a SCORE volunteer and the owner of Facts & Figures Forensics, PLLC and formerly worked as a forensic accountant in Colorado’s 4th Judicial District Attorney's office where she worked on over 40 criminal investigations.  Robyn holds the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credentials as well as receiving the Forensic Accounting Certificate from the AICPA.  Robyn is also the former President of the Colorado Springs Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and served on the ACFE Global Chapter Leader Committee from 2017-2018.  Her 20 + years’ experience includes tax, audit and accounting services for government entities and privately held business entities in a range of industries.
