With over 50 years of hands-on experience as a senior executive and management consultant. Richard’s core skills include:  Building successful professional services teams; developing actionable business strategies; designing and implementing aggressive cost management and turnaround management programs; launching successful start-ups; organizational design and development; executive coaching and leadership development.

He has served as instructor at the Harvard Business School and the USDA Graduate School.  Richard received his BA in English and Psychology from Kenyon College, and an MBA in Organization Behavior from the University of Pittsburgh.

Treasure Coast SCORE'S 'Simple Steps' for Starting a Business program helps you prepare a blueprint for achieving your dreams for business ownership.

Simple Steps Start is a series of three modules that will give you the necessary tools to start a business.  The program is designed to give busy, aspiring entrepreneurs the skills to create and validate a business idea and to create a business plan to implement that idea.

Even if you did not attend the Introductory Session # 1 you can still register for this informative and valuable workshop.

This workshop covers the following topics:

Workshop 2: Business Concepts:

  • Getting your business idea - Steps to develop - Fine tune your business concept
  • Doing market research - Steps to identify your target audience & learn how they buy
  • Knowing your customer
  • Doing competitive research - How to know what your competitors are up to

Workshop 3: Marketing and Sales  9/23/20  10 AM to Noon

Workshop 4: Financial and Funding  9/29/20  10 AM to Noon
