Join CSI East Bay-Oakland Chapter and AIA East Bay for a virtual presentation titled “Overview of Engineered Wood Products”, presented by Aleeta Dene, PE, APA. The one hour long presentation qualifies for 1 AIA LU. 


Presentation Topic:

Overview of Engineered Wood Products – With the expanding choice and use of engineered wood products (EWPs) in today's construction market, it's now more important than ever to understand how to properly select, install and detail engineered wood materials. Aleeta will introduce plywood, oriented strand board (OSB), glue laminated timbers (glulam), I-joists, and structural composite lumber (SCL), the benefits of engineered wood and its proper application. 

Aleeta Dene, P.E. is an Engineered Wood Specialist for the Field Services Division of APA. A licensed Professional Engineer in the state of California, Aleeta graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Architectural Engineering. Prior to joining APA, Aleeta worked as a structural engineer for 9 years in the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles. Aleeta is an active member of SEAOC and ICC in Los Angeles.
