Intellectual Property and How to Protect it

SCORE Jacksonville is presenting a FREE  Workshop - "Intellectual Property and How to Protect it."

Trademarks, copyrights, patents and other intellectual property can be valuable business assets that need to be protected. The process of getting a trademark, copyright or patent registration can be complicated, expensive and time-consuming if you try to do it yourself.

This presentation will define the various types of intellectual property, when you may need to protect these assets and the processes for gaining protection.

Summary / What you will learn:

  1. Trademark rights, how to do a trademark search and how to apply for a registration.
  2. Copyright registrations, copyright infringement, fair use and how to apply for a registration.
  3. Trade Dress and Trade secrets.
  4. Patent requirements, the patent process and patent claims.

If you think you may need to establish these protections (and most of you should) then you should attend this workshop.
