Girls Advisory | Ages 12-15 | Tuesdays starting October 20th from 5PM-6:15PM 

Girls Inc. of the Seacoast Area, a program of the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center, is holding our Girls Advisory leadership program. Girls will use two curriculums during Girls Advisory. In Our Own Hands is a component of Girls Inc. Leadership and Community Action. It is designed to enable girls to recognize themselves as leaders, to understand their rights and responsibilities, and to feel empowered and responsible for championing social change. In the first five weeks of the program the girls will learn about female leaders, how to work as a team, and how to use their strengths to make a difference in their community. The second part of this program will begin in 2021 and will focus on an upcoming Girls Inc. program called Taking Action. With the knowledge from In Our Own Hands, girls will become advocates in their community to create social change. Throughout this program and with the support of adults who believe in the girls’ rights and abilities, the girls will learn, decide and take action in their community. Meetings will take place on Tuesdays starting October 20th from 5PM-6:15PM. Please note we are currently releasing dates for the fall. Winter dates will be released at a later date. 

Dates: October 20th, October 27th, November 3rd, November 10th, November 17th, December 1st, December 8th.
