What makes for a great pitch? Why do some pitches nail the opportunity while others, well, miss the mark?
Great pitches are more similar than not, whether you pitch to buyers, lenders or investors. They are all about knowing your audience, crafting the right messaging and delivering them impactfully. But end goals can differ with your audience and this can shift the way you structure and deliver your pitches.
Experts with more than thirty years of finance and marketing experience will lead this hands-on workshop. It is structured around a series of small group exercises designed to hone your ability to craft the perfect pitch.

Participants can choose during registration to spend the second half of the workshop in either B2B /B2C or investor-focused discussion groups. Each will have an optional 20 minute pitch development and practice session at the end.

Carolyn Katz, Financing Expert
Carolyn Katz is a former banker, venture capital investor, strategic advisor and small business owner. She has broad expertise in small business and startup funding, preparation of business plans, financial forecasts, investor and pitch materials and has run workshops on lending, crowdfunding, profitability and pitch preparation.
Mary Tan, Brand Strategist
Mary has in-depth knowledge of branding, new products, and business development/management in a variety of settings. She is an expert on inbound and outbound marketing for profit and non-profit companies. She spent more than 30 years at Colgate- Palmolive managing and building global brands such as Palmolive, Colgate, and Ajax. She had previously worked in the retailing, nonprofit and publishing sectors. Mary has an MBA in Marketing/Finance from Columbia Business School. She is a certified SCORE mentor.
