Description:

This two-hour session will focus on deepening Relational Resilience: the capacity to be in safe relationship with self and others. Over the course of our time together we will explore how deep listening is a trauma responsive tool as well as a key for successful organizational and community development. When we experience trauma, we are left with a sense of feeling unsafe, unseen and unheard. Together we will engage in a practice space that allows us to build the skills necessary to support self and others to feel safe, seen and heard.

  • Participants will assess how and where they currently listen from within themselves.
  • Participants will understand Notice, Accept, Invite as a trauma responsive self-care practice.
  • Participants will understand how deep listening can build Relational Resilience.

WHO’S INVITED?  This session is designed for everyone interested in learning simple yet powerful strategies to reduce the impact of stress and trauma and help those impacted to build resilience and lead full lives.

Presenter: Sarah Buffie, MSW, LSW- Sarah is the Founding Director of Soul Bird Consulting.
