This workshop offers information on how to finance your small business. In this session, discussions include the funding from Conventional and Non-Conventional sources. Items discussed will include the six C's of credit, interpreting ratio analysis and review of financial statements.  The instructor will give an inside view of how a banker,  investor or other lenders assess the merits of the Business Model Canvas and/or the Business plan paying particular attention to the financial section.

Presenter: Christian Pence from Pikes Peak National Bank

Christian Pence started his finance career in 2003 as a post closer at a local mortgage company. Over the years he has worked at several banks and mortgage companies in every role in the mortgage finance process including an originator, loan processor, underwriter, closer and post closer. In 2015 he moved from residential lending to commercial lending and has been in this role with Pikes Peak National Bank for 6 years. The move came as a result of his growing fondness with the businesses and owners he was underwriting and the desire to further understand the financing needs of small businesses. Christian has owned and operated several small side businesses over the years including a self-serve car wash, a construction equipment rental company, and a mobile storage and sale company. He is also a seasoned real estate investor. It is this diverse experience that gives him an edge on serving the small business community.
