Explore Banking Services and Insurance for Your Business

Jacquelyn Tomlinson will identify common financial products and services used by small businesses, important factors when choosing a financial institution and the value of building a relationship with a financial institution.

Lance Vanek will be presenting information about Insurance for Small Businesses. He will cover:

  • Understand the risk management process
  • Recognize typical exposures for small business
  • Know which types of insurance policies cover those exposures
  • Understand how perils are insured against
  • Special considerations

 Speaker: Jacquelyn Tomlinson
Jacquelyn  is an assistant vice president in the corporate banking area of Frost in Austin. As a lender for area businesses, nonprofits and other organizations, Jacquelyn helps those organizations gain access to lending and other banking products and services that they need to survive and thrive in today’s marketplace. She began her professional career in management consulting and worked on projects for energy companies in Chicago, San Antonio, and throughout the Central Texas and Gulf Coast regions. In 2017, she made a career shift to commercial banking when she joined Frost as a credit analyst. For two years, she helped other lending professionals on the commercial and industrial lending team underwrite credit packages. During this time, she gained a better understanding of business financials and the various ways companies can use credit to grow. Today, she draws on that accumulated knowledge and experience to build relationships in the community and help local businesses meet new challenges and exploit new opportunities.

Lance is a vice president and commercial insurance producer for Frost Insurance in Austin and surrounding areas.He has responsibilities for developing new business with existing and prospective commercial clients; helping current and prospective clients determine insurance needs; reviewing clients’ risk management plans, insurance policies, property, products and records.
