2021 Engineers Week Banquet 

The Engineers Week Banquet is going virtual for 2021!  You are cordially invited to celebrate Engineers Week 2021 at the E-Week banquet on Thursday, February 25, 2021.  Please invite family, co-workers, and friends to the banquet - all are welcome!

The virtual event will celebrate the engineering community, outstanding engineers, and accomplishments in Vermont. Please join us in congratulating the Engineer of the Year, Scott Sabol, P.E., and the Young Engineer of the Year, Jonathan Griffin, P.E.The event will include the usual award ceremonies and other announcements, followed by a Keynote Presentation from representatives of the Generator Makerspace in Burlington, VT.  Information regarding event sponsorship and the keynote presentation are provided below. 

EVENT SPONSORSHIP

Engineering is vital to our country’s future, and we appreciate any support of our efforts to inform the public of the engineering profession’s contributions to the nation’s welfare and economy and to inspire young people to pursue engineering careers. To ensure the continued success of E-Week in Vermont, we are requesting contributions to help offset expenses associated with E-Week activities. We have reduced our sponsorship requests, to align with the virtual meeting platform.

 Sponsorship categories include:

  • Cloud Computer - $500 $250 or more;
  • Computer - $250 $125 or more;
  • Calculator - $100  $50 or more; and
  • Slide Rule - $50 $25 or more.

In addition to promoting engineering in Vermont, your generosity will be recognized in the celebration meeting program and advertisements. KEYNOTE PRESENTATION

 Generator Makerspace in Burlington, Vermont

 

Generator Makerspace is a combination of artist studios, classroom, and business incubator at the intersection of art, science, and technology.  It provides tools, expertise, education, and opportunity - to enable all members of our community to create, collaborate, and make their ideas a reality.  Generator's Christine Hill, Marketing & Communications Manager, and Elliott Katz, Facility & Operations Director, will be presenting an overview of what the Generator is and does. This presentation will include a discussion of some recent projects that are relevant to our local community and how they have been able to support some pandemic response efforts. Generator's Executive Director, Meg Hammond will share how local engineers can get involved and where the future of the Generator is heading.
