Sitton's Gulch at Cloudland Canyon
Tennessee Valley Wild Ones members are invited to participate in a spring hike to Sitton's Gulch. Stephan Eselgroth will lead the hike.
Hike details:
We will be hiking an out and back trail with a side wildflower and a side cave loop trail, to view early Spring flowers of the season. There is an optional staircase midway to view Hemlock Falls. We will not proceed to the many many many stairs to Cherokee Falls and trails of the rim of the canyon. Stephan Eselgroth will guide the hike.
Rating: Easy to medium
Distance: 4.2 + miles, approximately 2.5 -3 hours
Meet up will be at 09:00 EST. at the trailhead. Plan for a 30 - 45 minute drivetime from Chattanooga. Directions to the meeting location will be emailed to registrants in the week preceding the hike.
Masks will be required as well as social distancing precautions.
Bring snack/water, wear appropriate shoes for hiking and a change of shoes for afterward, if desired. A hiking pole is not required for this hike. Lunch will be on your own after hiking.
Limit: 10 participants.
This program is free and open to Tennessee Valley Chapter Wild Ones members, including family.
