How connected is the food we eat and the faith we proclaim? What is the way to a future of faithful eating and right living?
In this Deep Green Faith webinar, the second in the Spring series offered by the Center for Religion and Environment and the University of the South (Sewanee), Dr. Wirzba will present and lead conversation about the right relation of food and faith and its implications for all creation.
Norman Wirzba is the Gilbert T. Rowe Distinguished Professor of Theology at Duke University and a Senior Fellow at Duke’s Kenan Institute for Ethics. He is the author of several books, including Food and Faith: A Theology of Eating, From Nature to Creation, and The Paradise of God: Renewing Religion in an Ecological Age. This fall Cambridge University Press will release his latest book This Sacred Life: Humanity in a Wounded World. Besides teaching and writing, Norman loves to garden, bake, play guitar, and make things with wood.

What to Expect
After announcments and introductions, the guest speaker will take 20 - 30 minutes to present on the webinar topic. This will be followed by a panel discussion with Center staff and guests. There will then be time for questions and answers from the attendees.
