NHCRA Presents

John T. Broderick, Jr. and Dartmouth - Hitchcock’s

“R.E.A.C.T. Mental Health Awareness Campaign”

1.25 CLE Hours Pending

Event starts with John T. Broderick’s  video presentation ( (33-minutes) on mental health awareness and R.E.A.C.T.  Following the video, John joins the group for a Q & A session. This training provides individuals throughout New Hampshire and Vermont with tips about how to deal with signs of emotional suffering and with resources for support and help. The R.E.A.C.T campaign was developed to provide clear next steps to take when someone sees some, or all, of the 5 Signs of emotional suffering in another person. R.E.A.C.T supplements the 5 Signs campaign developed by Barbara Van Dahlen of Change Direction. The idea for the 5 Signs was modeled on the theory that, like knowing the 5 Signs of a heart attack or stroke, we should all know the 5 Signs of emotional distress; and when we see those signs we should take action.

Erin Jasina

“Remote Mediation:

Domestic Violence and COVID-19 Considerations”

2 CLE Hours Pending

Erin Jasina joins NHCRA to take a look at the impact of remote mediation on domestic violence amid the COVID-19 pandemic. This training looks at consideration’s mediators may integrate into their practices to address concerns of domestic violence and the struggle parties face when navigating the constraints of COVID-19. Erin discusses screening for domestic violence in a remote setting and what adjustments mediators may make to address challenges. Mediators gain skills that are applicable in the current remote mediation environment and what lies ahead as the mediation setting may include elements of remote mediation beyond the pandemic.
