  • The parts lens of personality: its dynamics within and between people
  • Unconscious archetypal complexes: how they show up in daily life

Main take-aways for personal use:

  • Guidance on recognizing the unconcsious activity steering our behaviour and experience
  • Greater respect and acceptance of our Shadow / dark side
  • Examples of mapping parts interactions in relationships

Main take-aways for professional use:

  • Revising how we conceptualize the very foundations of what Type is about
  • Situating type within a wider systems model of the mind
  • A glimpse of how Type could evolve towards a unified personality model

This presentation is geared to Intermediate and Advanced levels of type knowledge.

ABOUT RICHARD OWEN

A current trustee of the BAPT (British Association for Psychological Type), Richard is a qualifed Organizational Psychologist, Transformation Coach, MBTI® Certified Professional, and is trained in various other Type and Trait psychometrics. After a previous career in music and sound engineering, he spent the last 15 years studying psychological type, incluing 8 function models with Bob McAlpine, and Archetypes through mentorship with Dr. John Beebe himself. Alongside running perrsonal development workshops for indivduals in Newcastle, London, and Brighton in the UK, Richard developed Personality PartsTM. This framework is strongly aligned with Beebe's work, but reinterprets it, and, in fact, Type itself, within a new contextual paradigm that integrates many influences from contemporary psychology.
