Beginning on January 1, 2020, a new state law required all Californians to have health insurance or pay a penalty that can range as high as 2.5% of household income. Stacy Church will explain Covered California, the health insurance marketplace in California established under the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The exchange enables eligible individuals and small businesses to purchase private health insurance coverage at federally subsidized rates.

Workshop Presenter: Stacy Church
Stacy Church has a Paralegal Degree from San Joaquin College of Law. She has worked in large law firms eventually transitioning to Labor Law and HR development in 2002. In 2007, she moved to San Luis Obispo and took a position with the Workforce Investment Board of SLO county. She now utilizes that background as an agent at the Susan Polk Insurance Agency where she embodies the mission of the agency “Always positive and ready to help.”
Stacy is also the President/Chair for SLO County Employer Advisory Council.
