Speaker Biography

Dean McKinney

As a former project manager, I have over a decade of experience leading U.S. & multi-national project teams through intricate, challenging, and highly visible projects. My technical leadership, combined with in-depth knowledge of project management practices and strong relationship building ability, have allowed me to develop a significant track record of driving positive business outcomes across multiple industries.

Most importantly, I now count myself among the self-employed as a non-fiction author. I consider myself to be a small business owner, with a staff of one. I know first hand the experiences of taking an idea from a whiteboard out into the consumer marketplace: advertising, pricing, social media, building websites. I’ve worked through each of these critical areas myself, so I understand the challenges this can create for a first-time business owner. The SCORE community is here to help, and so am I.
