We will be joined by newly appointed German native and Executive Director, Oliver Dorf. He will share his journey and plans for the center. Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta aim to build lasting ties between German-speaking people and people of the southeastern United States. We will learn more about how they do that through their language and cultural programming. The talk will also include how AlabamaGermany Partnership have worked with the center in the past and currently.

Goethe-Zentrum is part of the Goethe-Institut network, which are the cultural institute of the Federal Republic of Germany with a global reach.

They promote knowledge of the German language abroad and foster international cultural cooperation. They convey a comprehensive image of Germany by providing information about cultural, social and political life in their nation. Their cultural and educational programmes encourage intercultural dialogue and enable cultural involvement. They strengthen the development of structures in civil society and foster worldwide mobility.
