Make a difference in your community by becoming a SCORE volunteer! SCORE is a nonprofit resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentoring for more than 50 years.
The Susquehanna chapter of SCORE serves Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Perry and York Counties and is looking for volunteers to share their talent and expertise with the local small business communities within these counties. Specifically, the Chapter is seeking volunteers for the following roles:
Subject Matter Experts
Do you consider yourself an expert in your field? Are you looking to share your high-level skills, and industry knowledge with your community? Join SCORE as a subject matter expert!
As an SME, you will partner with one of SCORE's certified mentors on an as-needed basis to provide advice and guidance related to your area of expertise. Potential areas of expertise include digital marketing, market research, food marketing/manufacturing/compliance, supply chain basics, business strategy and planning, human resources, sales forecasting, and financial analysis. The Susquehanna SCORE chapter advises a wide variety of ethnically, politically and socially diverse clients. Therefore, while any interested individuals are encouraged to participate, the Chapter is making a focused effort to recruit diverse volunteers (Women, Black/Brown/Latino and Generational diversity). The Chapter would also welcome SMEs with Spanish language skills, to better assist that client demographic. If you are interested in volunteering as an SME, please contact [ ??? ].
SCORE Workshop Presenter
Do you enjoy public speaking? Looking for a new and unique teaching opportunity? Then you might be a perfect fit as a SCORE workshop presenter.
The Chapter is currently looking for digital/internet marketing workshop presenter(s). This is a one-off opportunity to work with the chapter workshop committee to create and deliver a series of web-based digital/internet marketing workshops to the local small business community. Development and delivery of the workshops is targeted for the second half of 2021.
