Pride in Our Workplace invites you to join us on May 20 for the first installment of our Trans Workplace Inclusion Series.

The Learning from Lived Experience virtual panel will center the perspectives of trans professionals, exploring the complexities of coming out and transitioning in professional spaces, strategies for seeking and signaling allyship, and the importance of backing inclusion policy with consistent trans-affirming practices.

Panel 2: Implementing Policy and Best Practices will help lay out a roadmap for DEI and HR teams to ensure they are developing and enforcing policies to protect trans employees. Additional details and panelists will be announced soon.

Meet our Panelists:  



Cheryl Katon (she/her)

Event Panelist

Cheryl recently joined the Fenway Health team as Vice President of Resource Development and Donor Engagement. Prior to working at Fenway, Cheryl provided professional leadership for youth service non-profits, serving 30,000 youth annually through outdoor education and community parenting programs. 

Cheryl is dedicated to supporting the trans community through her volunteer efforts. She serves as the First Event Chair and Nominating Chair under the Trans Community of New England. Cheryl is responsible for the program, financial performance, communication, logistics, and customer service at TCNE’s annual First Event, one of the longest running conferences in the U.S. for transgender and gender expansive people and those who support them. Cheryl is on the Board of Pride in Our Workplace, helping spearhead upcoming trans inclusion programming. 




Ryan Rasdall (he/him)

Event Panelist

Ryan works with clients as an Attorney in the Goulston & Storrs Corporate group. He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, corporate financing, bankruptcy, capital markets, and compliance.

Prior to joining Goulston, Ryan worked at a national LGBT and HIV rights litigation non-profit as a legal assistant. During law school Ryan worked as a legal intern at NYU Langone Health’s General Counsel’s Office and was involved on campus as co-chair of the Black Law Students Association. He is on the board of directors for the National Trans Bar Association and serves as Treasurer for the Jim Collins Foundation.



Trevor Boylston (he/him)
Event Panelist

Trevor is a Global Sourcing Specialist for Boston Scientific, providing procurement support for OEM material in the endoscopy and urology business units. He collaborates with Supplier Quality and Supply Chain Managers for new product launch activities, quality audit support, and inventory management.

Trevor is also the Global Lead for Boston Scientific’s LGBTQ+ ERG called “PRIDE” –  Promoting Respect, Inclusion, Diversity, & Equality. Trevor is a member of the Board of Directors at Fenway Health, serving on the Finance Committee.


Meet our Moderator: 

 

Tori Kaufmann-Paulman (they/them)
Event Moderator

Tori serves as a Senior Director Analyst at Gartner. Tori is a practitioner of Humanistic IT, a term they coined to describe an approach to Information Technology service providing that emphasizes the inclusion of each end user as a whole individual.

Tori has been dedicated to a lifelong practice of sharing their story transparently, from participating in youth panels facilitated by the Rainbow Room to starting one of Connecticut’s first high school Gay-Straight Alliances. Now, Tori serves on the Board of Directors for Pride In Our Workplace and continues to moderate and participate in panels and discussions, sharing their unique perspective on LGBTQ+ inclusion in digital and physical workspaces.
