Online Webinar:

Creating an empowered, creative and resilient workforce through self-management & SBA Resources

Description:

In this joint webinar, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will provide an overview of small business resources, while SCORE volunteer and co-mentor, Laura Frew, will discuss the power of self-management in empowering employee creativity, motivation and contribution to a company. You’ll end the workshop with a few practical takeaways you can apply immediately to your company.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

Janelle Green from the SBA’s Sacramento District Office economic development team will deliver the presentation. Created in 1953, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is the only cabinet-level federal agency fully dedicated to small businesses and provides counseling, capital, and contracting expertise as the nation’s only go-to resource and voice for small businesses.

Laura Virginia Frew is an entrepreneur and organizational change consultant who helps small businesses solve challenges through structure, process and mindset. She’s a former Partner at HolacracyOne, an industry leader in self-management. Before that she founded and ran a travel company designing and operating multi-day bicycle tours in undiscovered areas of Italy. She has a B.A in International Relations from U.C. Berkeley, completed courses in Technology Entrepreneurship and Lean Process from Stanford Online, studied Holacracy and Holacracy Coaching with HolacracyOne and is currently working toward her Holacracy Coaching Credential.
